Still an absolute classic
Wheres the sound
Love listening to these Diesel Engines Running!
This will be the coolest video i see of former railroads in my hometown
Man, I sure do miss the 70Ms on NS. Spectacular video here!
I Know Dale E. Burns is an Old School UA-cam Channel But This Old Video Needs the Sound Again, and This Video is a Classic UA-cam Video in 2006 Back in the Good Old Days of UA-cam
I have no control over that. The sound worked fine for a while and then just quit for some reason. A few more of my vids did the same. Have no idea why.
When will this Old Video Have Sound Again Come On Dale E. Burns
I’m glad I’m not the only person who likes trains in Sylacauga
I sure enjoyed the video. Nice power.
I caught this in daylight between Macon and Columbus. It was a complete disaster, with the train stopping multiple times for broken knuckles and problems with the DPUs communicating. It was not to be repeated for a long time.
Cool, I'm going to share this to my group on FB. Today is Christmas Eve 2022, Merry Christmas!
Thank you. Brings back some good memories.
When 1702 came back to service in 2016 why did it get a new brass whistle
Hey Dale, I really enjoyed the video, we are getting these long trains on the Lineville Sub too.
Love the B23-7 and U23B units. Good ol days
The train is very nice to see! But why they’d retire this train?
That was in downtown Birmingham,Alabama, and it had a stop in Saturday,December 7,1996.
Pure 567 turbocharged engines .Now that's something rare
My town, Godwater is Goodwater
I was The engineer on that train sitting in the cab and my buddy Kenny Parks was The conductor (AKA,) BUBBA in the caboose
Down on their knees pulling their guts out. I love it

BNSF Santa Claus Express 1996
Nope. Burlington Northern. Not BNSF.
@@stagmies BNSF actually.
@@stagmies and the Gp-28 is Burlington Northern 1506. In 1998, they replaced it with BNSF.
That’s crazy how that used to be 2 trains worth of cars just 6 years ago. Nice catch
Look at the 2nd engine

My Dad was Signal Maintainer out of Alexander City back in the mid 70s. He very well could have worked on those signals. He used to go all the way to Columbus and up to Leeds AL.
On the Southen side (Central of GA)
NS 136 now goes through Asheville NC, NOT Alabama.
2020 and I’m still watching this. Discovered this channel at age 11 and this is where I fell in love with City of New Orleans
Wish BNSF didn’t patch the engine and kept BN’s glory
Looks like a really nice area!!
i remember when this video had sound
Wow, fantastic hornshow! Great catch!
Do you know about what milepost this is at?
lets these trains runs
Must be really swampy and I like that conrail
Not swampy at all. This is Hatchet Creek. A very beautiful creek that flows a long way through two counties before emptying into the Coosa River.
I love that K5lar24 horn
One the *best* Loram Grinder videos on UA-cam. You got some outstanding shots of a nice variety of activities. Thank you for sharing.
i remember this train from the pentrex "christmas trains" vhs
Idiot crossing in front of train @ 0:46
i live in kellyton and was wondering if there is a way for me to get to this without having to walk the track all the way
Dale, DAVID HUGHES made this video about 1989 I am david hughes and would like to get up with you I am in Sylacauga....
HEY DAVID!! Good to here from you! We haven't spoken for a long while. Folks, David captured some incredible video for the day and time that he shot this video tape.
Almost 13 years ago wow
How do you get to that spot?
Copper looks like he's enjoying the breeze. He's funny to watch. Reminds me of my dog Tony.
My dad worked on this train. The happiest times. Wish they'd bring it back.
Easily 4 ft away from a slow train?
